"A charming woman is a busy woman." -Loretta Young

...I must be charming! :-)

Just when I think I have it all down, twelve million more things occupy my time and my mind. So, I've broken down and purchased a planner, as I've done so many times in the past. However, this time, I plan to USE it. (Maybe I should pencil THAT in?) Previously, I've bought them with good intentions, only to forsake the overall concept in the end...defeating the purpose of the purchase. That's over.

This year, I find myself forgetting important things: bill due dates, birthdays, appointments. I've never been like this. I usually have a steel trap memory. I think my plate is completely full. I accredit this to my never-ending busy life. Between being a wife, musician, photographer, best friend, teacher, daughter, avid shopper (tee hee), exercise enthusiast, and "antiquer" (to name only a few), things get (shall we say) misplaced. These things being important dates! Luckily, I have the BEST best friends ever and the most outstanding husband who is unabashedly supportive to my hectic life.

I don't really have a strategy quite yet. I just know if I don't do something that FEELS good once and a while, not what's in my schedule, I'll go bonkers! Therefore, since I like to write, this is my way of venting and supporting the idea that when I don't answer my cell phone...there IS, in fact, a reason.

Frequently, I get "YOU NEVER CALL ME BACK." ...even better, I get "YOUR VOICEMAIL IS ALWAYS FULL!"
Yes. It is. I don't even have time to listen to my messages. Tonight, I made dinner, and ate WHILE I was doing the dishes in the interest of CREATING time for myself to sit and veg. ...this NEVER happens. :)

...I get, "When do you have time to write songs?" Sometimes this happens when I wake out of a dead sleep. Sometimes this happens while I'm doing life's necessary and unavoidable tasks. A la taking a shower. ;-) Lyrics and a melody will come to me, so I'll text my guitarist and he'll have something going by the time I get to our jam session.

So, I propose this question. Why are there only 24 hours in the day and why is sleep mandatory?
